   How do I request a copy of a police report? 

          Requests for police reports can be made Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM by contacting  the administrative offices at 304-234-3792. There is a $15 fee per report requested. To obtain a copy of a traffic crash report you can visit Report Beam.

     Is this call that I recieved part of a scam?

          If the call does not sound "right," in all likelihood it is a scam. Scammers will typically state that they are with law enforcement or the IRS. The IRS does not call subjects who are delinquent on their taxes. Neither law enforcement nor the IRS will request gift or money cards, iTunes cards or other strange forms as payment as a fine or bond. Speaking to the scammers will take them off of script and the will reveal that the call is a scam. Do not provide any personal or financial information over the phone to parties that call you unsolicited. 

      

      Does the OCSO do background and identification fingerprinting?

          Yes. The Ohio County Sheriff's office performs this service for a fee of $15 for two print cards. Prints can be obtained Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM and may vary at times due to deputy availability.  The OCSO uses ink to complete the print cards. The OCSO does not do federal background checks. 

 

        How to hire deputies for off duty security work?
